Yeah... I got one for 469 a little over 500 after taxes. I got the last one. You may want to check your stores.

Not bad for a 1080P projector. Some people on AVS forums were getting 399 for clearance. I think I might be happy with it for 500 bucks. The only down side I've heard so far is the 37 DB fan... I wouldn't call it whisper quiet! My room is pretty big and on Eco mode it should be ok since I like my movies on the loud side.

Does anyone own one? Comments? I was thinking about buying the 3 year bulb warranty. I should be good to go for 3 years for using this this for a TV. Maybe by then LED technology will have advanced to 1080P! 😀

Uh, not that you got a bad deal, but its not really 1080p. Its just a 720p unit.

"1280x720 native resolution"

I know not true 'native' but 720P is pretty good.. it just upscales to 1920X1080... Still tho... for 500 bucks. I dunno. I guess I got 30 days to figure out if I wanna keep it.

As I said my bulb in my other optoma is flickering so...... Nice to have a BRAND new unit!

Without a doubt it is an excellent projector. And at $500 its a wicked deal. I saw one in Burlington NC on Monday but there seem to be none in Cleveland.

they've been on clearance a couple of weeks in my area, so they may all well be gone.

I did find it funny that they were selling the HD20 for $1099 when the list price at Optoma's website is $999.

Eric, you don't need to get defensive. Nobody is ripping you. The fact that this projector is a 720p native rather than a 1080p native is a BIG deal to people expecting 1080p resolution.

As has been stated, it's still a good buy, but it's not a 1080p projector for $500. That would be an insane buy.
