Yes, for a budget monitor it's ok. Problem is I was using it as a second monitor and that made it even worse for me, having the colors soooo off.Originally posted by: TheVrolok

As a monitor for my linux box I use a 17inch Optiquest and I notice the same thing. The brightness is just off, and no amount of adjusting brightness/contrast will fix it. It looks washed out. It also has a poor viewing angle. However, it's decent for a budget monitor.
