Question OptiPlex MiniTower 9020 worth adding PCI NVME adapter card?

I like to know if anyone knows or has any experience on this. The 9020 has a core i7 4770 so its ok fast. I can boot it with an ssd and it is fast enough.
Could I add a PCI NVMe card to it and possibly boot from it?
if so, will the x1 slot be good enough?

It does have uefi so I think I can boot the n.2 from it
