Options for Internet in Remote Areas

What are the options for internet where there isn't cell coverage? Mobile satellite internet? In this case, south eastern Canada.

Will you be moving around, or in one fixed location? Fixed satellite internet service is slow and painful at times, but not horribly expensive. If you need mobile satellite service, then yes, that can cost a lot.

It definitely wouldn't be a fixed location. It might be one location for one trip, but generally mobile. Anyone have any experience with hardware/service providers? I've never looked into it before.
