Option To Leave Msg About Being Absent?

Much of the time I am away from home and therefore AnandTech. Like many I do have a mobile connection but time does not allow it's use for as much as 2 weeks at a time.

An option to leave a message, possibly connected to the PM icon, to be viewed before a PM was sent to me telling of my absence and expected return would be most helpful in keeping communication going during selling and buying. The sender would have the option to go ahead and send a message or at least have knowledge of my expected return and send the message at a later date.

This option just might stop some of the OT posts about 'missing' members in the FS/FT Forum as well.

I would think this might be a very simple modification.

You could always set up your email client to auto reply instead. Relying on PM's for transactions is not a good idea.

I verify via Email but 99% of the time I use PMs for transactions here.

yeah... this is something you'd have to take up with the folks over at e-zone media.

people can also check ur profile to see when u were last visited, but i rarely do that unless it's urgent.
