Option to disable "user title"?

Was just thinking, with the recent discussions about the ignore-list feature and other changes - what if you feel that titles are sometimes semi-presumptious, and just want to remove/mask yours? Kind of like disabling your profile, but in this case, a simple option to replace whatever your title shows, with either nothing, or just "Member". Your post count could still be seen by viewing the user profile. Has this been brought up before?

PS. I am not the King, Elvis is dead. Just to be clear on that.

The forums can have titles on or off, some people live by their title it is important to them. As for per user disabling it, its an idea, but does require a fair bit of work to implement.
