Option for UK date format - Can you add that to the profiles please?

You do ask where we are, and what GMT offset we might be, however if we do choose UK then we still get the US date system (which reverses the date/month - when its like 7/6/03 then we have to guess wether thats june or july).

Please can you either automate people that choose UK in their profile to display DD/MM/YY in their threads, or, give a panel in the profiles where we can choose from all 3 available (DD/MM/YY or MM/DD/YY or DD/MONTH/YYYY)

No reply needed, just sort it out please - we're not talking rocket science here :)

Thank you

Have any "Can we get..." threads ever evoked change? Usually the person just gets yelled at and the thread gets locked.

Of course some requests have happened, infact alot more than what you guys seem to believe. But, what you don't seem to understand is anandtech neither built this software nor is it interested in modifying it. We want to keep ugprading as new versions come out, and if we hack the code up then that process either takes a long time or it doesn't happen at all. If you feel you have a suggestion that should be in the forums tell the people that built it.

The favicon would require hacking up the header code so that the link to the icon is present on every page, not something we want to do at this time.

I'm pretty sure that with IE at least, the favicon.ico just has to be put into the root directory of the website. It automatically checks to see if it's there.

I think the problem is that most people don't know what options can be changed by you and what is hard coded into the program, and aren't interested in reading through the entire instruction manual to find out.

Agreed, I just had an improvement in mind and wondered if it was possible.

Thank you for pointing out that anandtech staff has no control over it, I have submitted the suggestion directly as you suggested.
