Do people always reply to threads where they don't even read the op? This isn't a keyboard. It's a button strip thingie.

1 year ago the announcement was for a full keyboard.

Now here we are and they are shipping a 3 strip key attachment for $126?

For mass adoption the FULL keyboard has to ship for $100, or so I think. Seriously, who would buy a $200+ keyboard?

That link doesn't mention anything about the full keyboard, so where are you getting that the keyboard may be coming out soon?

And if 3 keys cost $160, how much would the full keyboard go for? $1k?

Pointless.

I'm hanging on to my 15$ Logitech Internet Pro keyboard.

For $160, those 3 keys better fulfill my wishes like Aladdin's magic lamp.

For this price you could buy a 15" LCD. You can fit a lot of buttons on an LCD that you could click faster with your mouse.

Wonder how long those OLED displays last?

Last I heard was that OLED displays started having burn in issues after about 1000 hours.

5000 hours? That's not very long at all. MTBFs for hard drives are for hundreds of thousands of hours.
IMHO, not worth $50 per key.

I preordered it when it was $100 ($117.42 w/ shipping from Russia). I'm interested in it more as a small display device rather than a keypad. Kinda like the Logitech keyboard with the display, but not as big and clunky. I'd love to mount it under my LCD panel and use it as a clock, system monitor, current weather, etc.

We'll see how it pans out. Having dealt with some Russian companies before I'd be happy if it arrives working. :p

EDIT: This picture is why I'm interested in it.

Al lot of people buy $200 keyboards. I won't say what kind or whom to prevent price gouging.

The Optimus Mini Three arrived today!!

pics here

Pretty neat little device. I haven't messed with it or the software much but it's a slick little display unit. I have no intent to use it as an aux input device, simply a clock and system resource style display, at least for now.

Hopefully some good software plugins get released for it.

The keyboard will look HOT but as was said, if it's $200 (i.e £200!) then I think hmmnotsomuch will be the most common response.

The pre-order price was 100$, as stated earlier. That's a fair price for a auxilary display device IMO. It's certainly competitive with the Matrix Orbital displays, which aren't even color

Anyway.. it's not that price anymore and yeah that sucks. I've been reading up on the panel and it seems the software has some serious issues. The hardware is sound though. Here's to hoping this panel gets some good support from 3rd. party apps.
