Hey guys, I've been trying to find something that says whether the Optimus 2x is going to be on Verizon and have 4G. I've only read a couple posts in other forums where people said it would have 4G in the US, but I trust your guys knowledge a lot more. I only ask because I was thinking about getting the HTC Thunderbolt when it comes out, but if I could wait another month and a get a dual-core 4G phone, I'd rather wait. I'm due for a new phone on March 9th. Just trying to get more information than what I could find using Google. Thanks.

It's not going to come out on Verizon for a long time or in its display shape.

It's being shown as a HSPA+ phone, which is just a higher-speed version of the protocol the GSM carriers (AT&T, T-Mobile) use for 3G already. For it to be 4G on Verizon, it would have to include additional LTE circuitry on top of the standard Verizon CDMA/3G radio. Throw in the fact that LG doesn't *have* a current model on Verizon's CDMA/3G base and I wouldn't hold your breath.

Yea I was probably just being delusional. I'm just so excited for 4G and dual-core phones, that I was hoping one would be out by now for me to pick up when my contract is due.
