Optimum Online Customers what's your internet speed?

Optimum online has been great for me... ran the test, and i got 9185 and the dl speed. And thats with my router which has 3 computers hooked up to it. Without the router i get 10.4 megabits per second
 
my upload speed is great, but when i get capped, that's when i have a problem. (they don't resolve the issue immediately; they tell you it will be another 24-48 hours until you hear from them.)

otherwise, i'm totally satisfied with them.

You must be in the area where they upgraded to 15/2, huh? I'm still 10/1 - should be upgraded soon.

There are many kids in my area so at night it tends to be slower - rather annoying sometimes...

I'll post results later when I am home.

thanks, yeah they just upgraded this area a few months ago I think, but my wireless connection is horrible.

It varies a bit each time I take the test (and change locations) though not by much. I'm sure the speeds will differ quite a bit during peak hours and after midnight..etc.

I've had OOL for a few years and never had a problem and I've uploaded plenty and have never been capped. Guess I've been lucky. I don't upload though during peak hours so maybe thats why I never had any issues. I love OOL myself and unless FIOS comes to my area for a much cheaper price I'll stick with OOL.
 
Wow, I feel like im getting shafted. Hardwired, I'm still only getting 4000 for the download speed. Looks like its time to upgrage the modem.

1.8 up

I think I'm in the area where they upgraded from 10/2 to 15/2 (because Verizon has been installing their FiOS cables in my area). Though, as soon as FiOS becomes available, I think my dad will switch from OO to Verizon just because he hates Cablevision with a passion.
