I'm planning to buy a new computer, it will mainly be used for gaming. The question is like this: At first I was planning to buy an Intell 660 (3.6 Ghz) and a video card based on geforce 6800 GT. Now when the 7800 model came out I'm not sure what to do... Should I get the 7800 model and an Intell 650 (3.4 Ghz) or stick with my old plan, since they both fit in my price range.

how bout ditch Intel. AMD is far superior in every gaming benchamrk for much less $(tom's hardware guide has a cpu chart i believe somewhere). a better GFX card will benefit you more than a better CPU in gaming btw.

I think you answered your own question. And like suggested above, consider some AMD systems while you're at it.
