Optimal setup for dvd, dvd-r, cd-r, and hard drive?

Is it faster going from master to slave on one channel, or traveling between channels?

If it's the latter, then I'm thinking hard drive and dvd on one channel and the other 2 drives on the other.

Anyone know? thanks.

Its faster on two chanels.

Your way would be the fastests unless you have you have raid channels that you could use for ata drives and not for raid.
