Hi,

Does anyone know what the optimal surface would be for a lazer mouse?

What colour and texture material would give you the best performance?

Thanks

I have three laser rodents - all somewhat different. They all work just fine on any no-reflective surface. It may sound strange - but a plain piece of white bond paper is as good as anything I have found. The color really doesn't matter. White is what I have handy. :)

abe,

I frequently use the top side of my easy chair cushion in the evening when I have my laptop going and I mouse on the cloth surface. I've found the mouse will work almost anywhere... As for optimal? Can't say.

I use a Rocketfish mouse pad that I got for $20. It has two surfaces for different levels of speed/precision. It's almost like having a DPI changer at the mousepad level.
