Optical mouse w/ 2 scroll wheels...

I picked up an optical mouse that has a GE badge on it the other day. It looks just like an intellimouse explorer with 5 buttons but it also has 2 scroll wheels. The problem is that it came with no drivers or anything and the second wheel does the same thing as the first... Anyone know of a driver I can use to change that?? I tried loading MS intellimouse drivers and it complains that it can't find the right mouse.

How about giving us a model #/name off the sticker or a FCC ID or something. Is it PS/2? USB?

One for weapon up switch one for look up/down <shrug> Primary/Secondary weapon switching. <shrug> I'm sure you could find some use (maybe not a great use but something)....just like "WTF do you use 5 mouse buttons for"

i think that would slow me down..

Youd have to think too much, and it will cause your reactions to slow down and get you killed in fps games. 2 scrolls and 5 buttons? its not a keyboard...

It's no different then switching form all keyboard (like everyone was used to in Doom) to Keyboard + Mouse which owned in Quake (against ancient Doomer's who still try to go all keyboard). Or switching from 2 buttons to 5. You'd get used to it if you found a way to make it useful.

Try a driver from here.
Optical Mouse, 2 wheels, 5 buttons.

BTW 2 wheels are great. One for vertical and one for horizontal scrolling.

I have a two scroll wheel mouse. I love it. I can do some things so much more quickly in fps's. . . . if they will support both of them.

an A4 Tech Optical greateye wheelmouse. Good stuff.

I was considering using the second wheel for Alt+Tab in windows and probably spell/secondary weapon switching in games...

They would probably not co-exist though 🙂.

Thats cool 🙂 Where did you get that? In games that may be helpful... or if it isn't, atleast you'll be the only one within plenty of miles with a 2 scroll wheel mouse, doh!
