i have been using the logitech mxduo for a few months now. the thing is that the cursor movement isn't stable. it keeps jumping all over the place with a slight mouse movement. i even tried changing mousepads. this also happened with the previous logitech mouse i replaced. can somebody tell me what is wrong?

Did you try the mouse in a different PC to confirm it`s not faulty, also are you using USB or PS/2 mode,if PS/2 try USB,also try a different USB port if you are using USB already.Did you install the Logitech drivers?

I also believe you can change the radio frequency on that mouse so try a different channel.

if you're going to use a mousepad, use one with a consistant pattern.

I have to use dell machines at work, and the first thing I do is throw the mousepad away. The logo in the middle of the otherwise black pad routinely freaks out their optical mouse, lol.
