optical mouse delay

Hi, i have a Logitech Cordless MouseMan optical.

in the morning, when i first use/move the mouse. it has less than a second delay in the first movement.

everything works fine afterwards.

i didn't install the Logitech drivers. i just installed the basic so i can't check the mouse's battery life.

wondering if it is running low in battery.
