Optical drives on RIAD controller?

I have an integrated HPT372 controller on my motherboard that I'd like to hook up an optical drive to. Any reason this won't work? It's been such a long time since I've thought about these kinds of things!

Arcanedeath's correct as the HPT370 version 1.1XXX and above made Optical hook-ups useless 🙁
