Optical drive firmware flash failed

I flashed my Optorite 4X (DD0203) DVD+-RW drive using Optorite's latest firmware, but it failed to update.
Now the drive won't work at all.
Is there any way to repair the damage or reset the firmware?

Try flashing again, but make sure there are no proggies running in the background, including firewall/antivirus
