I get POST and detection of ram and ide/sata devices but after that the screen goes blank and i also cannot get into the bios when i try. the newest bios is installed v. 1.b

help would be great as I want to start playing games here

Might be a bad board?
I am running a 148 Opteron in the board in my sig. No problems here.
What Ram are you using, and is the ram in the closest slots to the Cpu?

Opteron 165 + neo2, no problems with bios 1.CB3
