Is this what you're looking to download:

AMD Opteron? Processor PowerNow! Driver for Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 Version (exe) 1.2.2.2 - allows the system to automatically adjust the CPU speed, voltage and power combination that match the instantaneous user performance need. Download this Setup Installation program (EXE) to automatically update all the files necessary for installation. This package is recommended for users whom desire a graphical user interface for installation. This .EXE driver is a user friendly localized software installation of the driver designed for end-users. This driver supports single core and dual core Opteron processors on Windows 32 bit OS.

If so, what do you guys feel about this? Sorry if I may be hijacking your thread :)

they are the same driver...... 1.2.2.2...... May 2005. nealh go to XS and follw these instructions....

AMD Dual Core Hotfix

I've left it enabled with single cores as well.... no real need to disable it if you swap CPU's.

I did all the hotfixes and stuff..ie MS fix and AMD driver but I saw someone post that there was a difference and before I shot off saying there was not I wanted to be sure

They seem to be the same file IMHO

BTW thanks for the link, there is also a nice thread at hardforum as well
