Opteron and the Power Tool

i just got my 144/nf3 combo up and running and am using the power tool set to "max battery life" which throttles down the 144 to 1GHz and 1V when idle. has anybody had any problems with this program? i have run super pi and noticed the times were withing 1sec with or without the program running.
