Opteron (939) Venus Processors -- same as the other Opterons?

This is probably a dumb question, but are all of the Socket 939 processors referred to as Venus? Now that NewEgg is carrying them, they call them "Venus" but Monarch isn't referring to them that way.

I take it that they're all the same processor? Does the Venus line have a particular stepping?

No, Venus refers to Socket 939 Athlon 64's on the 90nm process with 512MB of cache. The old 130nm S939 A64 was Newcastle, while the dual core S939 A64's are called Toledo and Manchester.

I think you're thinking of Venice, not Venus. :p

Venus looks to be a stepping/revision of single-core Socket 939 Opterons, but I can't tell whether all of them are Venus cores or not (which was what the OP's question was).
