Opteron 180 Temp Monitoring Issue

I'm running win 2000 sp4 on my file server opteron 180. asus probe reports 48c, core temp .95.4 reports 50/51c under 2xseti. Using a zalman 9700led hsf. Seems normal, right? well, load and idle temps don't change AT ALL. Turned off seti and temps remained the same. verified in task mgr that cpu is 100 % on both at full load and 0-1% at idle. Any ideas? Asus probe even shows 46c at full load and idle.
