I got a 5hr 20min dual prime stable running a Opteron 170 (546XPMW)
at 2700mhz = 9 CPU Multi x 300mhz fsb on a DFI LAN Party UT SLI-DR Expert. This is with the RAM out of the equation.

I have the voltage on the Processor at 1.4v x 104.8% = 1.4672V
Temps: 21C idle, 33C load, I would add 10 more degrees to each of these because I here the sensor is inaccurate, I'm using a thermalright SI-120 with panaflo fan.

Now in the Bios its telling me the voltage is running at 1.48V, but when I use smart guardian or Everest in Windows XP its telling me its running at 1.46V, which should I believe?

I dont think I have hit the wall yet that starts increasing temps a large amount because there has only been a slight variation in temps as I have went up in MHZ. I got 2500mhz prime stable using stock voltage. If the reading are correct in windows then I might try to push for 2.8ghz. Do you guys recommend a voltage to stay under, if I am going to use this as a everyday gaming machine?

1.46 volts is safe.

try up to 1.5 to 1.55.

with my old 3700+ SD chip, i ran it daily at 1.65 volts with no problems.

my new 170 i run with 1.5 volts.

does .02 volts make that big of a difference? IMHO, not really.

the ONLY way tto verify what it is, is to get a DMM and physically measure it yourself
