I currently have a A64 3500+ on an Abit KN8-SLI with 1.5 gig of ram and a 7600GT. I'm thinking about upgrading to multi core. I can currently get a A64 X2 3800+ OEM at New Egg for $90 with free shipping or a used Opteron 165 for about $100. What would be your preference? The 3800 is a known quantity while the used Opteron could have problems. From what I understand this particular Opteron won't clock over 2.5GHz no matter what and the 3800 should be able to beat that if I get a good one.

Thanks for your input
