Opteron 165 Availabilty

im trying to order my parts for my new rig today, yet im trying to wait until the Opteron 165 gets back in stock...

any idea on a time table/pricing of when it does come in stock ?

There have been rumors flying around that once the supply of 165s dry up that only system integrators will be able to get them. Supply does seem limited, not sure if this is true or not.

My sources tell me the only 1xx Opterons that will be available on the market after christmas will be 150, 152, 175, and 180 which puts them all at $500+ because of the massive amount of end-users who are buying them for desktop overclocking.

The ebay sellers that are stocking up on them now will have a profitable time then. I can see why AMD would do it though. The Opty 165 will seriously undercut the profits of the X2 line. I dont think AMD forsaw this when they first released it.
