He's saying if the 165 is down to 150 then the 3800 could be dropping to 100. I think it's just a temporary price drop or mistake, though.

Damn, and I just bought an x2 3800+ 939 for $152 shipped. Woulda rather had 2x1mb :frown:.
At least it does 2.5ghz easily. Had it at 270 even, but stopped going for more, and went back to the easy 250bus.

makes me glad i just sold my Opty 165 OEM for $165.00 shipped to the UK, with shipping and paypal fees i ended up with about $150.00, good to know i got full value for the cpu, and can go conroe 6300 for only like $30.00 more for the cpu.

Several month ago monarch had a very good deal on the 144, I bought one and it was ship rather quickly. The thing OC to 2.9Ghz with stock voltage, loved it. Personally I had a mixed experience with monarch, orders usually ship rather quickly, refund and cancel on the other hand is a totally different story, and their CS wasn't too helpful.

Exactly.

Single-core does choke on every major double task. I've got the Opty 144 single-core.

Waiting for price to come down to a sweeter sweet spot. Try 100$ won't ya.
