Been deciding whether to get 144 or 148....should i get the 144 and save about $60 over the 148? I'm thinking it would oc about the same as the 148. Which one would be easier to oc to 2.6-2.8Ghz for a beginner like me? I'm trying to get the best for buck.

144 = 9x
146 = 10x
148 = 11x

Realize that if you get a 144, you will need to run HTT = 311 to reach 2.8 GHz (311x9 = 2800). Some mb's have issues at high HTT.

146 is probably the best one to get, however they are difficult to find these days.....

Best single core processor I have owned and I bought another Opteron 148 and I got the same stepping. I don't like to overvolt my processors, in the case here I don't have to to get the OC I want.
