well i hust got a 144 Opteron and oc'ed it=) i was happy lol.

but its only gone this far so far

FSB 278
Multi 9
Voltage 1.408-1.424 Twitches from those 2
Core Speed 2.503
Divider 133
HTT Multi 3

what can i do to improve this?

BTW i am using an Antec TruePower II 380W PSU....u think ill need a better one?

Youre crazy. Put more voltage into it. 🙂

I have my 144 CACJE @ 2.6ghz with a small .050 voltage bump. It did 2.7 but failed prime with those volts. Im sure I could do 2.8ghz if I wanted to do 1.5 volts or more. But I sorta dont care about 200mhz and id rather keep temps and volts down.

Do 1.45 volts and see how high it goes. Thats not much of a voltage increase. I guess youre memory is a tad limiting but.... I have pc4400 TCCD stuff that does 320mhz if needed myself. Your chip sounds close to mine though. Mine did 2.5ghz on stock, but need to bump volts slightly to get 2.6-2.7. Youd probably get 2.8 with 1.5v or higher like I said before.

can u tell me what i should use for a 2.7?

I have Kingston HyperX PC4000 2x512.

what settings should i use to get a stable 2.7-8?

The only thing thats gonna help you now is more voltage. Just slowly keep increasing it and testing stability in prime95

Count yourself lucky, I have maxed out at 2.5GHz on my 144 on 1.55v! Definately give it some more juice up to 1.5-1.55v & see how high the MHz goes. If the pc restarts then chances are your psu isn't up to the job.

I have a CAB2E 0546 FPAW @ 2.5 with stock voltage. I could probably get more out of it, but I want this chip to live for a while.

Dude you and shinz both have great 144s. Thats a great chip. Let the beast lose! Youre keeping it locked up with stock volts. If you just bumped volts a tad to like 1.45, youd probably have 2.7-2.8ghz. 1.45 volts isnt going to harm the chip heh.

I have mine at 1.425v (+ overvolts about .05) running at 303 X 9 on the A8N-E - probably has more but something on this board about running memory at 250 speeds messes up. Using Stock HS with AS3.
