Well, I heard some bad thing about the Monroe struts, but i really don't know anyone who has experience it. I know KYB makes my OEM struts (98 honda accord) but the local repair shop probably will just get whatever cheapest struts on my car.

Anyway, I am not looking to spend a lot, if anyone has experience the monroe struts, please leave comments, I'd like to take care of it now rather than later.

I've used them on a bunch of different vehicles without any problems.

That said, with suspension parts if I am sticking with stock specs I typically use OEM parts. If I want different specs I go aftermarket.

I have used Monroe on many cars, mine and customers, and never had a problem.

When I bought my old used truck I put monroe shocks on it about a year ago.

Well, I am at Sears now. The shop is taking an evaluation on my suspension, will probably recommend replacing the struts. So how much is reasonable to replace the front struts (both)? I believe they only have Monroe in stock, no KYB.
