Software makers have yet to learn the principles of free trade...you make a product that stinks or is stupid (i.e. 'We can do anything we want to you if you install this program; including but not limited to rape, murder, and burglary.') and you get boycotted and eventually wither and die a slow and painful death...

I think companies that think they can put anything in their EULAs better brace for a meltdown of their company...the boycotting power of AnandTech alone is enought to shake any software company including Microsoft, let alone Slashdot too and all the others.

Wait a minute...I see why the DOJ is letting this law get passed...that way they don't have to deal with the Microsoft monopoly lawsuit..."hey, Microsoft doesn't need to be broken up becuz they're a monopoly...just let 'em put 'we can kill u if we want' in their EULA and then everyone will boycott Microsoft. Result: end of Microsoft...or at least their monopoly. :)"
