Oprah to interview Palin

I know Palin is doing it to push her new book (which is at #4 on Amazon even though it's not even out yet), but I don't see much upside for her. Apart from the fact that Palin is an idiot herself, Oprah is an Obama cult follower, there's no way she's going to give Palin anything remotely resembling a fair interview. Can you say "hatchet job"?.

I don't think you can describe anyone who took themselves from being so poor that they wore potato sacks as clothes to having an empire worth billions of dollars an "idiot."

I'm sure it will be a complete fluff piece. Oprah doesn't want to alienate viewers like she did back in the summer.

No, she's not dumb. But ignorant and closeted, you betcha. McCain didn't do her any favors throwing her into the national stage. Maybe she shoulda said no, but that's a hard offer to turn down.

Nice, it's a hatchet job! Before the interview even happens. I suppose you saw the hatchet job Oprah did to GWB? Actually it wasn't a hatchet job, and she bent over backwards to be fair-even letting him bring his wife on with him. Softball questions and Oprah made it Ok to vote for Bush. I will never forgive her for this.

She will probably be soft on SP also, because she is a woman in power, and both have been the targets of political haters.

I have to hearken back to the Couric interview of Sarah Palin. As Couric asked Palin soft ball questions. Yet Sarah Palin always has a tin ear and managed to make a total fool out of herself.

We might say it was somewhat understandable for Palin then, being a remote State Governor and not being exposed to national issues, and nothing that hitting the books, getting up to speed, and self study could not cure. But here we are, over a year since McCain lifted Sarah Palin into the national spotlight, and she seems to have deliberately failed to learn a damn thing. Meaning Sarah Palin will appeal to only the radical right of the GOP while appalling everyone else. Its been the Palin track record every time she has come back into the National spotlight.

And my prediction is, no matter how hard Oprah tries to give Palin softball questions, Sarah Palin will still manage to make a total fool out of herself. Its just Sarah Palin's talent and her Karma.
