opportunity to pick up a "cheap" Ipod

I have a friend of a friend who has a few new ipods he doesn't want anymore, they're 40gig the latest gens. Up here in Kan-A-Da the 40 gigs go for $599 before tax, he's asking 350 flat.

Good idea or Bad idea?

2) The Ipod... "fell" off of a truck

i just bought a creative xen xtra 40 gig for 240 bucks...... new

thats 110 less. so if your looking for price, pick up a xen. but if you want an ipod for some reason, its a good deal i guess

I was able to pick up the same 40gb Zen Xtra back in December from Staples for $215 (including tax). I think you can find a similar price for the 40gb Zen at Amazon.

Depends, would you feel like a schmuck for buying off him, reselling for a higher price on ebay, and spending the money on a better player and possibly good headphones to go with it? If so, then don't do it.
