I had the RT314.

Was great and a breeze to setup.

I really didn't need it, just got it to play around with it.

Only major difference, except for newer internal components in the 314, is the 314 has a 4-port switch.

The 311 is a 1 port right?

If you already have a hub/switch that would be a good combo.

If you need to buy a hub/switch the price for both router and hub/switch will probably be close to that of a router with a built-in switch.
