Looking at the following 2 digital cameras. Which would you give the nod to? I know there are far better out there, but my budget is somewhat limited right now so I don't expect pro quality.

Casio QVR-51

Or

Fuji E510

If your looking for a nice point and shoot you can't go wrong with the Canon PowerShot series. I have an A75 and love it.

I agree with the above, I've got an older Canon PowerShot A40, still works great, solid build, and quality. Can't go wrong with Canon for both point/shoot and higher end, such as the Digital Rebel.

I'm a big panasonic fan after buying a big-zoom digital... so I'd definately consider Panasonic when buying a point-n-shoot.
With all the money you got to spend, I'd definately consider the DMC-FX7.

Determine what your requirements are with regard to lighting and zoom.
The DMC-FX7 I mentioned has image stabilization, which means you can be at 3x zoom, shakey-handed -- and take a decent pic.
Half of the user reviews of the camera, though -- mention the flash seemed weak.
If your pics will be indoors with weak lighting, flash strength is a MUST.
If your pics are out-door action shots in bright sun -- stabilization is usefull.

I have a Z1 and I really like it I recently bought some 256mb SD cards for it for under $5 each so now I can take a gajillion picture without having to upload.
