'Just a touch of feedback and help called for here. I am about to buy
either the
HP iPAQ hx2495 with the memory specs of:
· Intel PXA270 Processor 520MHz
· 64MB SDRAM
· 192MB ROM
or the
iPAQ hx2795 B
· Intel PXA270 processor 624MHz
· 256MB total memory
· and the Biometric Fingerprint Reader
I just don't have the experience to be aware of whether that apparent
extra memory in the PXA270 (if it is any extra at all) is all that
valuable given the 30% difference in price.
Perhaps the only difference is the Biometric Fingerprint Reader.
It would seem that if the Biometric Fingerprint Reader ever
malfunctioned it could permanently deny access to the ipaq. And I
expect that I can sufficiently secure the files in the ipaq with some
kind of password protection.
Any responses as to the actual value of he 30% difference in price of
the higher iPAQ hx2795 B for general use ?
Thanks

I am surprised at how close this is to a question / decision that I have to make.

I would also appreciate any other perspectives......

I was doing a search for the ipaq 2495 and came across this thread.

Anyone got some viewpoints about this ?

I would like to know also.

Also, and significantly, the activity of web browsing on an ipaq (that has wifi capability)
does really work on that small screen, with Internet Explorer, does it not ?

Thanks.

I'm wanting to buy this model too but can't find any reviews on it. Did anyone on this thread pick one up yet?
