I have been using a Palm IIIxe and loved it. However, I want one now that will provide MP3 capability and the Palms don't. I am looking for opinions, advice etc., on which PDA would be best (Visor, Sony etc.). Generally speaking I won't use any wireless web features etc., just basic PDA functions (including several after market programs like ebook reader, PDR etc.).

TIA.

any of the color ones. There was a nice one in staples or was it circuit city so check out their adds in yesterdays paper. It had a nice built-in mp3 player

The new color Sony Clie has mp3 playback built in, but you better get a 64MB/128MB memory stick to hold them.

I've got a Casio E-125. It's a little bit bigger than the other Pocket PC PDAs, but the screen is wonderful. It also plays MP3's quite well. As a bonus, it's easily overclockable using some instructions from www.rojakpot.com. Good Luck

then the ipaq is even better because it starts out faster than any other PDA out there, and you can SOFTWARE overclock it to even faster speeds. however, the cost of ownership is high, but it does draw attention since it looks so aestetically pleasing. :D
