Opinions please: Colermaster vs TT Tsunami

I know the Coolermaster Wavemaster is from most accounts a better build quality(although reviews at Newegg show some quality control stuff that does not look good for an expensive case IMHO)

To me the real issue now is actually size

Tsunami:
HxWxD: 495mmx198mmx478mm or 19.4x8.2x18.8 inches

Wavemaster:
HxWxD: 458x198x540 or 18x7.79x21.2 inches

So which is better taller or wider

Wavemaster is wider but not as tall....I can not decide if getting cables out of the way and placing components are easier with a wide cae or a tall case

I'm going with the Tsunami. It looks nicer in my opinion, has nice fans for airflow, and has many good reviews (not opinions, real reviews). Just search "Thermaltake Tsunami review" on google. And i also think that the price is lower, but i'm not sure.

might consider switching out the 120mm fans...they are pretty loud but move pretty good air.
cable placement probably won't be a problem with either case...

I love the quality of the Wavemaster...2mm thick Aluminum..vs 0.8mm with Tsunami

But I am leaning toward the Tsunami...lot of nice features and I think..taller and not as long is probalby better than shorter and longer

i'd go with the coolermaster.. the quality more than makes up for less than an inch height difference.

Yes, it's thicker, but that makes it retain more heat and weigh more. The Tsunami is sturdy, so dont worry about the thickness. It may be a bit quieter, but i dont see much of a noise problem with the Tsunami. The Tsunami has a better quality paint job in my opinion also, and it's even...*gasp*...$2.99 cheaper!

ok. cases do not lose heat through the sides or top. the ammount is completely negligible. i know that case manufacturers and resellers tell ppl that bs ever since the first alu case sold but its still bs. the heat leaves the case with the airflow and thats all there is to it. silverstone makes some of the coolest cases there are and they use steel with an aluminium bezel. the thicker the sides are on an aluminium case (for steel it doesnt matter cuz steel is dirt cheap) the more the price is justifiable since aluminium is a rather expensive material. additionally the thicker case will tend less to vibrate which makes it more quiet, be more stable, and heavier. unless youre ~15, way to skinny and carry your pc to lan parties frequently the weight wont bother you.

unless the tsunami has more fans or other features the wavemaster doesnt have its the better deal assuming its true that they cost about the same and the coolermaster comes with 2mm and the tt with 0.8mm aluminium sides.

I was never expecting to lose heat from the sides ie the aluminum material....

I was impressed by the thickness of the coolermaster vs tsunami..at least based on specs listed

Cost..tsunami in black w/window $110 plus shipping
black no window $95 plus shipping

Wavemaster in black best is around $140-150

so there is a pretty good cost difference....newegg is higher for Tsunami tha nother places

well they look the same to me. my buddy bought a v1200 recently and i have to say 2mm alu is very nice. but 45-55$ you can spend more on a psu or whatever arent bad either.
