okay it is a superwide screen 2560 by 1080

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...24005626-L013C

cost is 259 and a 15 dollar gift card back

not looking to game but some youtube/tv/movies and lite net duty

I have had eye surgery so right now I have found 1080 p and 1200p screens are better for me then 4k or imac screens.

I never had an LG. anyone own something like this?

Consider that you'll have large black bars on either side of your movies. That might be preferable if you want to have a web browser open on the side while you watch a "fullscreen" youtube video. Also consider that, even though it's 25", it's only as tall as a 20" 16:9 screen, or an 18.5" 16:10 screen (1680x1050).

I'm not a fan of ultra wide screens, but to each his own.

If you're looking to reduce eye strain, a 27" 1920x1080 panel is probably preferable and can be found at a similar price.

I think the idea is that with ultra wide cinema ratios that most films are shot in, this will mean most films will fill out the entire screen. TV programs on the other hand would have black bars either side.

DO NOT BUY LG. THey are the crappiest monitors. THey will all break down or give you weird messed up picture. Vizio is better then LG... When buying monitor make sure its a Sony or Samsung or Dell ...

You buy the LG, you will come back and cry about problems, then suddenly poooof it died.. TVs die too, I know 3 people whos LG TV same thing. Caution Im warning you now so you dont get the LG... Let us know another brand you like and well critique. gl

All I gotta say is

HOLY COW.

That's a great price. I didn't see this on techbargains; I might have to pick 3 of these up because screw it. 250 bucks.

edit: oh wait! it's the 25" model. Thought it was the 29" for whatever reason. Still! Not a terrible price considering there are 1080p IPS panels costing more.

BlackEnd the monitor is a POS , it has 5ms response delay ,,,,,,,, that is insane, your mouse will be laggy in FPS and also motion blurr and etc etc..

you can get a Sammy 27" 1ms monitor ....... 5ms means wiggley jiggley mouse in FPS games,, not smooth mouse lag. Dont get that POS 5ms LG ,,,, Get what I recommended if you cant find it I will send link, too lazy right now.
