Opinions on the Wal-Mart "BALANCE" LCD Moniters

This question is a little late, because my old 15 inch crt went" PFFFTZZZZZZZ"and smelt like smoking plastic, and flickered, and died.I needed a moniter like, immidiatly, since i had some E-Bay deals going on, and WAl-MArt had the 17" BALANCE moniter( LCD) on special for 199.00 plus Tax.Its nice to watch movies on the LCD.I still urine for a 19" LCD though.

are you positive that you "urine" for a 19" monitor?

FWIW, $200 seems like an awful lot to pay for a monitor from a brand nobody's ever heard of, when you can get a perfectly KICK ASS 12ms Samsung 17" LCD for the same price, OR LESS

there are about a trillion good 17" LCDs right around $200. I can pretty much guarantee any of these will be better than a Balance, whatever that is.

i have also never even heard of a balance brand for LCD...go for a good samsung panel

in the "defense" of balance....we dont really know what panels they use....they could be good quality screens...(although the bezel styling leaves something to be desired)

sometimes a "cehap" brand uses good panels and is the right price...but I dont know for sure in this case...

Quite a few people bought 19" Balance LCDs from Walmart last december for $299, and overall they were pretty good, and the buyers were not pissed off. If you urine for a 19" LCD, NewEgg has them for as low as $250, but you need to spend about $300 to get a monitor without piss-poor performance.
