I'm looking into getting a newer monitor and this does seem to be the best option for the price (around $200 for upper limit)

Anyone who owns this care to comment about it?

I'm returning the one I bought last weekend.

At 1280x1024 @ 85 Hz the text just wasn't sharp enough for my liking. Looks OK, but the buttons on the side of the cabinet are more of a PIA than anything.

i run at 1024*768 @100Hz and it looks great. I used to have a dell aperature grille flat screen which was made by sony. i really like this monitor though.

I took a look at it (store display) the basic usage I had with it seemed okay of course the real test would be sitting in front of it doing normal things. The buttons on the side were a little annoying, and the menu wasn't the easiest to work with, but you normally don't need to play around with that too much once properly setup.
