Anyone have thought on their quality? Seems no B&M store carries the Samsung 900 NF so now its down to either the Samsung 955df the KDS 195tf or maybe the NEC fe 950 or possibly a philips 109b all these are 19inch. What would be my best bet? I hear a good review on the KDS for every bad review I hear. I hear a good and a bad for the Samsung 955 too. I can't find any info on the NEc's or the Philips. All these are between 300 and 350. I noticed that the Samsung is a shadow mask monitor. What is the difference between that and the Aperture grill? Thanks anyone

IMO NEC sucks the big one. I have had many NEC monitors and every single one (im talking over 20) Died either RIGHT after the warranty or within 4 years. Samsung IMO rocks. Philips? Let me tell ya, My first monitor ever was a philips 15 incher that I bought about 18 years ago, and ya know what? It still works! I dont know anything much about their new ones but my main TV in my living room is a philips and is used on average about 10 hours a day (what with a work at home wife and a 6 1/2 half year old tv addict) and has been running now for 11 years. Again, I dont know about philips newer stuff but if it is anything like my philips products from years ago get it! :)

Anyone know the difference between Shadow mask and Aperture grill? As far as the Philips. Any opinions? Also, one review tells me that the KDS are unpredictable and not very focusable. And another says it s good. Is the Samsung 955df comparable to their 900nf?
