Opinions on system upgrade

Well its that time again, where I have the bug to get soemthing new....

I was thinking of a new motherboard (Abit SH6, getting tired of the Bh6) but wanted to put it to you guys first and see what kind of input I can get.

Currently I have a

Pentium 3 650
Abit BH6
128 megs Cas 3 pc100 Ram
ATI Radeon 32meg DDR
Soundblaster live XGamer

like I said before I was thinking of getting the motherboard but I am up for suggestions, I use the computer for everything but would like to gear it for a gaming system, the only game I play now is SOF, I was thinking of the mobo because I am tired of the quirkyness of the bh6, esp when it comes to USB, but any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks

oh I should have said I only want to upgrade one item, so either cpu or mobo, not both-have a big cc bill to pay off and want to do that before I spend "real" money, thanks

Definitely beef up the RAM to at least 256MB since it is so cheap at the moment.

IMHO it's not worth the money just to get a MB replaced.. might as well save up more money and do a complete MB/CPU/RAM makeover. and your CPU is fast enough.

AndyHui is right.. more RAM will help the performance, and since it's so cheap now...

Since RAM is so cheap, maybe you can do both! RAM and MB!

If you wanna gear it up for a gaming system, I suggest upgrading the video card... Radeon 32DDR is not really enough... you should have at least Radeon 64DDR (then it's comparable to the GeForce GTS 32DDR)...

I don't know I just got my video card and am guite happy with its performance, granted I am comming from a V3 2k before hand but the radeon seems to do quite well with both SOF and Quake 3.

The motherboard/Ram idea sounds like a good one and I might go with that, however that is double what I wanted to spend (mobo is 133 and the stick of ram that I want, Cas 2 133 is also 135)

oh well I will think it over thanks for the suggestions
