pics of the banners.

I'm most likely going to use that third one. The image is going to go in a div at the top of my website that is the same exact size as the graphic, and the white space (well black in this case :p) is going to be used for advertisements. However I am concerned the header is too "busy" if you know what I mean.

any opinions on any of them? again I am 90% sure I'm going to use the last one there, and that empty space is about 780x85 so decent sized advertising banners can fit in there.

EDIT:

what about now ... I added a 4th without the comma. I was not sure what to do in regards to having a comma or not.

i also added a 5th with a dash instead of a comma.

the third one has a lot more balance.. Although sometimes unbalanced graphics can be good, the first 2 are a little bit too unbalanced with everything shoved to one side.

I like #2, or #3, just depends on how badly you want the news slogan.

yes I actually do want that slogan there.

also I plan to make a map to the little icons on the left so that each icon becomes a button. do they look like they could be buttons to you from the way they are on the graphic?

I think they're all too busy; maybe modify #3 to have the platform logos/buttons sort of underlining the slogan? There are a couple of the platform buttons I can't even tell what they are...

If those are buttons, then they are WAY too small.

well i am not sure if i wanna map them to be buttons or not. however there is already a way to get to the different sections from a link on the main menu thats on the left side of the website, and they are just word links not those icons as buttons.

it was just another idea I had to possibly make them buttons because i don't know if someone will think they are icons and mouse over them trying to get to that section.

they would kind of be a secondary way to get to the consoles section rather than the main way. this header is going to appear on each page, as is the menu.

the shadow/reflection of "GF" at the base of G and F looks like it's in front of GF when it should be behind it.

couple of suggestions:
- how 'bout "all the news...all the time" (so instead of comma or dash)
- fit as many buttons on the top horizontally
- the GF & the "all the news all the time" text size should be decreased significantly, while increasing size of the buttons
