Hi everyone, I was wondering if anyone here has had any experiment with this Samsung DVDM301 DVD player. I need to use that Best Buy $30 off coupon, and I thought this might be a good use for it. Any opinions?
I've got one and it's a nice unit (my first) but if I had it to do over again, I would actually consider buying an Apex 1500 (I know I know) but I'm too cheap to buy a RF modulator so I can watch regular DVD's (I've only watched VCD's since Xmas because of damned macrovision protection going through my VCR) and the ability to "upgrade" the firmware to turn that off would have been great.

Rossman: I swear that Toshiba 2800 wasn't there last night when I was looking for it. I actually saw a different Pana model in the Bestbuy B&M which I'd like to get, but it's not online for some reason. I think I might go with the Toshiba.

You have chosen wisely.
My first DVD Player was the Toshiba SD2109 what a nice solid unit.
I just got this DVD player for my birthday. It seems fine so far, except that atleast my unit has its default video setting to be playing on a widescreen tv. so if i put a widescreen format DVD in, the picture is all smushed on my regular (4:3) tv. so everytime i watch a DVD, I have to run setup and change it. Pretty annoying.
