Currently have a 780 Ti GHz and have had enough of Nvidia being shifty. I won't be upgrading for a while but I'm not spending another $1K on a 980 Ti that will die just like Kepler once Pascal hits plus AAA titles are drying up year on year anyway - this year on this card I played Dying Light, V and Witcher III plus the upcoming Fallout 4 - a $1K for that meh.
So, moaning aside, how will a 390 fare at 1200p High-ish settings with a 5930K @ 3.7GHz and 16GB of RAM backing it? PSU is a 1000w FSP Aurum. Needs to be as close to 60FPS as possible. Choices are the G1 Gaming from Gigabyte for $499 or the Sapphire Tri X Nitro for $529 (not fabled mythical USD prices :hmm
