Opinions on PowerEdge SC440 ?

Any one with experience with these Dell Servers? Decent Deal? How about the upgrade to the Intel® Core 2 Duo®E4500, 2.2GHz, 2MB Cache, 800MHz FSB [add $50] ??

What are you going to use it for?

I'd rather have core 2 than P4 D in a server, but more RAM or other upgrades might make more sense depending on your uses and budget.

I've got a Sc400 and a SC 420 that are both used as a desktop application. They're both equipped with the P4 processors. I have a 3rd machine that's getting slow & qwerkyand am looking to replace soon. Both the SC servers are rock stable and outperform my other Dell desktop.

the sc420 needed a physical modification to it's pcie port for you to use it. and even when you do that, it's still only 8x. i guess it doesn't really matter since the difference between 8x and 16x pcie is said to be negligiable but yeah. does the sc440 even have slots for a video card?
