Need For Speed Porsche Unleashed (NFS5) seemed like a pretty cool game when I tried it at Ultima's. However, at my house it seems to have a problem. He has XP, I have 2K. Apparently there is a known problem with NFS5 and Win2K? Does anybody know of a fix or patch I could apply to solve it? It loads the splash screen and keeps crunching on forever. It takes about 730+MB of memory! :Q

Any ideas.. ?

hehe... its a lot cheaper to mash up ur car against oncoming traffic on a pc tho :)
i picked up my steering wheel at staples. they had one on a clearence table for $11 :) its not force feedback, but hell... for $11... i'll take it :p i thought i saw the logictech force feedback steering wheel at compusa a few weeks back for $30 after MIR. so its affordable... just gotta keep an eye on the hot-deals forum :)

I'll keep my eyes open when I have $30 to spare ($50 since I'm cdn).. ;)

My keyboard will suffice for now. NFS5 is still a kickass game.

OK unfortunately my bro's friend's system does not want to enter a multiplayer NFS5 game without freezing. It's W98, and 2K won't detect his NIC. :(

So we're gonna resort to ol' UT for a bit, I guess.

Who gives a crap unless they deliver instantly at 4am! It's my bro's friend who's spending the night. I have three NICs (two 100mbps PCIs, one is 10mbps ISA in the sis' comp which we can't get to right now)... so none to spare since bro and i are using the comps. he has a D-Link 530TX, NOT the + one... so it's not supported by 2k. argh.

oh well, let him suffer in buggy 98. Most of his games are ok though. hopefully UT works...
