Also, anyone know about DVI connection issues on the Samsung DLP's? I'm having a tough time getting it to work right.

I'm pondering...
Hmmm, not done yet...
Ok, I'm finished pondering...
😛

You did pretty well for your first build.

A DVD burner would have served you better.

The motherboard is nice when it works. I had to RMA 2 of them. I finally switched to S939. Hopefully my new stuff will be here Thursday. Come on Newegg and Staples, ship my stuff ASAP!

I have the exact same motherboard, it's VERY nice. My system (you can see it if you click the link in my sig) is awesome, it will last me until dual core A64 chip systems are mature.

Aside from the DVD burner, I might have picked a faster CPU with more cache since the platform is single channel. The cache is what keeps S754 viable when compared to S939.

I would be worried about the vid card. Thats a generic branding and generics have many more probs on average or lack true support for features they claim to have.

A 43' LCD is obviously awesome but not sure how good it is for computer use.
That a serious videophile piece so other forums might be better to help there.

Other than the vid card the system is nice.
It is odd you would spend enough to snag a 43' LCD yet buy the dated s754 gear.
Ignoring the monitor and judging by price it was a good build for sure.

What is a JANTON 6800? I never heard of that manufacturer. I recommened you getting the ATI 9600SE and clocking it to 480/500 like me! ITS ONLY 80 bucks and it'll save you lots of money so you can upgrade when Nvidia and ATI release their new line of cards.

I'm guessing that's a typo for the "Jaton" 6800, which is pretty much a reference model, even down to the standard heatsink with Nalu on it.

You get what you pay for. Only a really high overclock on a 9800 can rival the 6800 at stock. We still don't even have any idea whatsoever about ETAs on new cards.

OP: System looks great, except for the [[edit: you're fine, it looks like]].
