Opinions on Mitsubishi Outlander

Does anyone have any experience with this car? I'm not a big Mitsu fan, but the reviews I've seen online seem pretty good. Any insight would be great!
 
Outlander.....Lancer platform?

EDIT: I think the Freelander is on the Lancer platform. I guess that puts the Outlander on the old Galant platform.
 
Mitsubishi Motors is on the downhill slide to going out of business within the next couple of years, so the warranty is not going to last the full 10 years. IMO, they have terrible styling, poor reliability, and low resale values. Avoid.
 
I think you're right NutBucker... it's on the Lancer platform.... I can't find a bad review.... but I agree with the negative views on Mitsubishi Motors. I wouldn't buy it, but it may be the car for her.
 
I had one as a rental for a weekend. The engine is weak and has to be pushed to the limits to merge onto highway if you got a full load of people and cargo. It does have plenty of cargo room and the transmission is smooth. I don't know the true MPG on this car, but I drove 230 miles on and put in 15 gallons of gas. The ride is smooth and drives decently.
